School employees get awards

Carolyn Slusher and Kathy Costin are Coarsegold School employees of the month.

COARSEGOLD — Two Coarsegold Elementary School employees have been chosen as employees of the month for November.

Carolyn Slusher, instructional assistant, and Kathy Costin, kindergarten-first grade teacher, were nominated by their peers and selected by the Coarsegold School Leadership Team to receive the awards.

Mrs. Slusher has been a instructional assistant at the school for 22 years, a job she enjoys because she can work with the children in their classrooms.

Mrs. Costin has been a teacher at Coarsegold for 23 years. She has seen many changes over the years and is now teaching children of former students.
